Say farewell to 2022 with a hike at Kennesaw Mountain.

Staying close to home so that everybody can hike and still have time to usher in the new year.

There's a $5 per car parking fee unless you have an 'America The Beautiful' annual pass. It's best to buy the daily parking pass online at **recreation.gov** (you can do so after you get there and park), but it can also be purchased at the visitor's center.

Total Hike Distance : 9 miles (Approx.)
Total Hike Elevation Gain: 1,752' (Approx.)
Hike Pace: 2.5 mph average pace (moderate)

Bring plenty of hydration and a light lunch and/or some snacks.
It is a relative easy hike of 9.1 miles and 1752 ft elevation gain. We will meet at the parking lot on Burnt Hickory Road, Kennesaw. The parking is close to the junction with Old Mountain Rd NW.
Trail Head Parking

The first 4 miles is an easy walk before we climb Kennesaw Mountain from the south side. We will hike to the outlook on the northern side at backtrack to the parking at Burnt Hickory Road.
