Hickory Dickory Dockery Loop!

Details
Here's a nice intermediate hike (for us) with just under 10 miles and 2,500 feet of climbing, trails are mostly pretty open without river crossings and limited deadfall, etc. A few steepish bits. We'll start at Dockery Lake and head up the approach trail to the AT. The approach trail is usually pretty sparsely populated and has a couple little waterfalls. Then join the hordes headed back south on the AT to Preacher's Rock, which has a good overlook, then down to Woody Gap. A little know trail will take us from the east side of Woody Gap parking lot around the back of the ridge (so no road noise) to emerge at Chestatee Overlook. Then back to Dockery Lake Road and back to the cars.
Dogs welcome, must love dogs. Not a lot of dog water once we reach the AT, but it looks rainy so shouldn't be too hot.
Usual Caveats, Hike Georgia is not responsible for you, be prepared to meet all the manifold perils of hiking such as precipitous precipices, precipitation, wild animals and plants, AT thru-hikers, starvation, dehydration, hypothermia, grievous bodily injury, etc.
