# 🏓 Free Pickleball Social in New Brunswick, NJ | All Levels Welcome
It’s going to be a beautiful day (high in the 80s, cooler in the evening, partly cloudy) — the perfect excuse to get outside, move a little, and meet some new people.
Join us for a free pickleball social at the brand new courts at Buccleuch Park from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (or later - depending on the group)
Whether you’ve played before or it’s your first time, this is an easy, relaxed way to enjoy the day and connect with others.
The caveat is that since it is brand new, the portable potties are a little bit of a walk and are near the playground. Afterwards, we can have dinner as a group.
## 🌿 What This Is
This is a casual, open-play pickleball meetup — no pressure, no formal structure.
• Come anytime between 2–4 PM
• Stay as long (or short) as you’d like even after the event
• Jump into games, rotate in, or just hang out
• Meet people from around New Jersey and the Rutgers area
## 🏓 The Courts
Buccleuch Park has 18 brand new pickleball courts, making it one of the best spots in the area to play.
That said, these are public courts (first come, first serve) and are not reserved, so there may be some wait time depending on how busy it is.
It’s close to Rutgers, so you’ll likely see students and other groups playing too.
We’ll do our best to coordinate courts for our group, If you want to help out reserve courts, I'll be there around 1pm.... in any rate, be part of the fun is just being out there together.
## ☀️ New to Pickleball?
You’re more than welcome. If you just want to socialize, you are also welcome.
Many people are beginners, and others are usually happy to help you learn and get into a game.
No experience needed — just come with a good attitude.
PLEASE WEAR PROPER FOOTWEAR AND ATTIRE.
## 🍉 Bring Something to Share (Optional)
Feel free to bring your favorite:
• snacks
• drinks
• small bites
Totally optional — just adds to the community feel.
## 🎾 Paddle Rentals
Don’t have a paddle? No problem.
Paddle rentals are available for $5.
## 🤝 The Vibe
This is about getting outside, being active, and meeting people in a relaxed, friendly setting.
Come solo or bring a friend — either way, you’ll find people to play with and talk to.
