Wacissa/Aucilla/St. Marks Weekend rendezvous.

Let’s get this next year started off right, in a kayak, exploring some of Floridas amazing springs!

I can’t take credit for the planning of this wonderful trip, Betty Phillips has done all the scouting and all the research. I just get to be her co-planner and her American voice of reason! Lol. 

Plan on base camping at:
Newport Campground
8046 Coastal Hwy
Crawfordville, FL 32327
(850) 274-7420 (Victoria host)
$15 for tent (3 tents per site)
$25 for electric (tent or small camper)
Kayak plans: spacific order TBD
Plan on setting up Camp Thursday. We will paddle Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
*10 miles on the Wasissa 
*7.5 on the Wakulla
*?Miles on the St Marks, TBD together depending on put-in and take-out locations.
All are spring fed so we should be good on water levels.

Bring a bike there are a lot of bike trails that we hope to incorporate exploring on this trip also.

Not beginner friendly, and must be able to self rescue. A Properly fitted and fastened PFD will be mandatory at all times while paddling, self inflating PFD‘s must be on auto inflate not manual!!
