What we’re about
Newquay Japanese Social is a relaxed community for people in Newquay (and wider Cornwall) who enjoy Japan - culture, food, travel, language, history, films, and the little everyday details.
This isn’t a language class, but Japanese learners are welcome and there’ll be chances to practise naturally if you want to.
We’re starting online with Meetup chat and discussions to help people connect comfortably. As the group grows, we’ll organise casual in-person meetups (coffee/drinks) and, over time, Japan-themed outings like sushi-making, Japanese garden visits, and other cultural activities.
The mood here is friendly, low-pressure, and respectful - a place for open-minded people who want to share, learn, and make genuine friendships.
