Walk the Goshen Trail on Newtown Square Historical Day!
Details
Newtown Square Historical Day is always the first Saturday in June, and this year, we are kicking off the day’s activities with a #Walk on Goshen Trail! (About two miles.)
We'll meet at 9:00am sharp at the #historic 1742 Square Tavern, because the day's events officially start at 10:00am. It will include sheep-shearing, a beekeeping demonstration and honey, live music, antique cars, children's activities, a storyteller, Colonial Re-enactors with the 1st Continental Regiment, and Lenni Lenape Native Americans.
In addition to opening the Tavern, other historic sites in the community, including the Paper Mill House, the Quaker Meeting House, the Octagonal School, the Newtown Square Railroad Museum, St. David's Church and the Bartram Covered Bridge will be open with guides who will explain the significance of the site to visitors. And, like our walks, admission to all sites and activities is FREE.
Hope to see you there!
