Join us on Saturday, January 31st at 10:00AM for a fascinating presentation by Sarah Lerch, Executive Director of the Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead, followed by a brisk hike around GW's gorgeous 240-acre property.

We'll meet in the Ram Barn for the presentation about The Colonial PA Farmstead. Sarah will give a 30-minute overview of the history of Ridley State Park and the settlers from the 17th century who made this area their home. (The Colonial Farmstead is in Ridley Creek Park.)

After Sarah's talk, our hike will include a walk along the farm, into the woods, and back up to the barn with a quick stop to see the sheep, goats and alpacas!

Please register here, and on Garrett Williamson's site here ~ https://garrettwilliamson.org/event/garrett-williamson-presents-history-hike-with-sarah-lerch/

Looking forward to walking with you!

About the Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead
Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead, located in Ridley Creek State Park, is a Revolutionary Era living history farm where visitors experience the daily life, skills, challenges, and triumphs of colonial farmers during a transformative period in history. The Farmstead has been a working farm for over 300 years starting as a William Penn land grant in the late 17th century to four generations of the Quaker Pratt family to a now living history farm celebrating 50 years as a historic site in 2026. Sarah Lerch has worked at the Farmstead for over 4 years and serves as the site’s Executive Director. Her favorite skills to participate in and interpret are plowing, ox driving, and spinning.
