We're hosting 'Inaugural NYSA Meetup' to help the community meet
in person and get to know each other better.

We will also be telling you a bit more about the collaboration between
NYSA and LSR (our London counterpart). We hope to have some
presentations on social media, mirroring LSR's SocMed event.

UPDATE: SOCMED 2011 to be hosted this evening !

SocMed (http://socmed.org.uk/)is an all-things-social-media event. Focusing on how we
interact within the space as a community and as individuals. Thanks
to the great feedback we've received and an awesome volunteer
team, we are able to host SocMed 2011 (NYC).

SocMed 2011 (London) will be hosted on 8-Dec.

DAVE KERPEN (http://twitter.com/davekerpen), co-founder and CEO at Likeable Media. He is an

and communications professional with a long history designing,
developing, and marketing a wide array of successful digital

About.com, the first social media strategies for JetBlue Airways (http://www.jetblue.com/) a
social media platform for MTV Networks and social media
marketing distribution strategies for CafeMom (http://www.cafemom.com/). He is a proud
graduate of Pace University Seidenberg School of Computer
Science and Information Systems and serves as a Tech Mentor in
Residence there. Currently, he is the Social Media Director at
AOL. He also teaches Social Media and Web Marketing at NYU
School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
