While Alfred Hitchcock is deservingly known as one of the greatest film directors of all time, the women he collaborated with on and off camera helped cement his legacy. Who were these creatives and how did they enhance his films? It's time to uncover the women who made Hitchcock's movies timeless classics.

Join New York Adventure Club as we explores director Alfred Hitchcock’s multi-faceted relationships with women on both sides of the camera, from the heroines cast in star roles to those who helped write and edit.

Hosted by Emmy-nominated documentarian and author Steven C. Smith, our virtual experience will include:

  • Stories behind the making of his screen classics, and how collaborators like Grace Kelly, Ingrid Bergman, and Kim Novak created some of the most romantically charged scenes in Golden Age Hollywood
  • Tricks of Hitchcock’s trade including the psychological devices he used on Joan Fontaine to get the anxious performance he wanted for Rebecca, 1940's Best Picture winner
  • A revealing look at the most important woman in Hitchcock's life: Alma Reville, his wife of 53 years, who was a brilliant writer and story editor

Afterward, we'll have a Q&A with Steven — any and all questions about the women who made Hitchcock's films shine are welcomed and encouraged!
