While wolves in the United States once numbered in the millions, conflicts with humans and federal extermination programs over the past 200 years brought the species to the brink of extinction. Fortunately, those numbers have finally begun to recover, thanks in part to organizations like one just 1.5 hours north of NYC, which has been helping wolves, and educating the public on this misunderstood animal, for nearly 20 years.

Join New York Adventure Club (https://www.nyadventureclub.com/) for a private tour of the Wolf Conservation Center (https://nywolf.org/), an environmental education organization working to protect and preserve red wolves and Mexican gray wolves in North America, two critically endangered wolf species.

Led by a staff member of the Wolf Conservation Center, our unique experience will include:

• The history of the Wolf Conservation Center, from its founding by Hélène Grimaud in 1999 to current management of over 45 wolves qualified for wild-release
• An overview of wolves, from the history, ecology, and biology of wolves, to the current challenges facing wolf recovery across the United States
• A meet & greet with the Wolf Conservation Center's three 'ambassador wolves' who help teach the public about the importance and plight of wolves
•A trip to the Endangered Species Facility to see and learn about the red wolves and Mexican gray wolves on site

See you there!

*Transportation to Katonah Station, and $15-20 taxi ride from Katonah Station to Wolf Conservation Center, are not included — please see below for more details
**Since this experience takes place mostly outdoors, please dress accordingly
