Join New York Adventure Club for an exciting five-part series uncovering the most iconic archaeological sites of the Andes — each one holding clues to a complex world of spiritual depth, architectural ingenuity, and forgotten civilizations. In Part Five: Machu Picchu, we’ll ascend into the cloud forest to explore the Inca’s mountaintop masterpiece — a royal sanctuary so precisely constructed, it continues to baffle engineers, archaeologists, and historians alike.

Led by Peruvian Tour Guide and cultural expert Vanessa Vasquez, our deep dive into the secrets of ancient Peru will include:

• The origins and rise of the Inca civilization, and how they built the largest empire in pre-Columbian South America
• The planning, purpose, and astronomical alignments of Machu Picchu, and how it functioned as a royal and ceremonial site
