What made this Midwest city such an architectural powerhouse, one whose magnificent skyline has cast its shadow across global architecture? It's time for a special look at the sites and landmarks that define the Windy City.

Join New York Adventure Club for a three-part series on the history of Chicago architecture, where we'll examine the buildings and structures that helped define the broader American architecture movement. In Part Two: The White City Legacy, we’ll explore the development of the great World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893, which introduced to Chicago the French-inspired architecture of what was to become the American Beaux Arts.

Led by architectural historian David V. Griffin of Landmark Branding, this digital showcase featuring a selection of unique structures will include:

• The planning, building and destruction of Exposition City and its lasting impact on American architecture
• Beaux Arts buildings throughout Chicago that are still standing
• Origins of The City Beautiful Movement
• A discussion surrounding the Chicago Tribune contest and how it changed architecture forever
• The rise of Art Deco in Chicago

Afterward, we'll have a Q&A with David — any and all questions about these unique buildings are welcomed and encouraged!
