The castles and palaces occupied by the British Royal Family have a fascinating history dating back hundreds of years. While places like Buckingham Palace and Windsor castle are some of the family's best known, what's the story behind their many other residences — both official and private — throughout the U.K.? It's time to uncover these royal properties like never before.

Join New York Adventure Club as we explore the famous — and not so famous — properties and estates occupied by the British Royal Family throughout the United Kingdom.

Led by award winning London Blue Badge Tourist Guide Nick Salmond, this unique virtual experience will include:

  • The history of Buckingham Palace — the current official residence of the British Monarch — from how it came to be built to its function as the residence of the Head of State of the United Kingdom
  • A look at the other London palaces, with an explanation of their history and current importance to the life of the nation, as well as who lives where
  • The history of Windsor Castle, the world’s oldest continually inhabited castle, dating back to the Norman Conquest (and a favorite home of many Kings and Queens)
  • Details of the private homes owned by the King such as Balmoral Castle and Highgrove house, including their rich history, major events that took place within their walls, and how they came into the ownership of the Royal Family
  • Where some of the lesser figures in the Royal Family live and details surrounding who lived in each house previously
  • Former royal residences and who uses them now

Afterward, we'll have a Q&A session with Nick — any and all questions are welcomed and encouraged!
Can't make it live? Don't worry, you'll have access to the full replay for one week!
See you there, virtually!
