That’s the magic of holography: a mesmerizing fusion of art and laser science that captures depth and motion with mind-bending precision. Now’s your chance to uncover its secrets during a trip inside a NYC holography landmark like no other.

Join New York Adventure Club for an exclusive after-hours tour of Holographic Studios, the world’s longest-running holography gallery and subterranean laser lab where science fiction meets reality in a truly one-of-a-kind creative space.

Led by Sy Rivers, longtime collaborator of holography pioneer Jason Sapan and director of Holographic Studios’ New York City location, our unique experience will include:

• An overview of the origins and science of holography, from its early developments to cutting-edge techniques used today
• A close-up look at groundbreaking holographic formats, including multi-channel, motion, and computer-generated holograms
• A guided walkthrough of the studio’s eclectic collection, featuring celebrity portraits, rare commissions, and holograms not typically on display
• A descent into the subterranean laser laboratory, featuring a live laser light show and optical experiments that reveal how holograms are made
• Time to explore the gallery and ask questions, with insight from a true expert in the field

At the end of the experience, all guests will go home with a holographic memento!

*Please note that the subterranean laser lab is only accessible via a staircase in the adjacent building. The space is low-lit, similar to a photographic darkroom, and features laser light during demonstrations.

Sy Rivers is a seasoned holography artist and educator who has spent years working alongside Dr. Jason Sapan, one of the original pioneers of the medium. As director of Holographic Studios’ New York City location, Sy leads tours, creates original holograms, and continues to push the boundaries of this unique fusion of science and art.
