London is a city where royal tradition, historic architecture, and vibrant neighborhoods come together to create one of the world’s most fascinating cultural capitals. But what stories lie behind the palaces, streets, and markets that have shaped this global metropolis for centuries? Get ready to journey through London’s iconic sights, rich history, and colorful boroughs in a series that brings its character and charm vividly to life.

Join New York Adventure Club for a four-part series exploring the historic locales, traditions, and landmarks that define London. In Part One: South Bank & Kensington, we’ll visit a lively stretch of the Thames where street art, major museums, historic markets, and royal grounds come together to showcase one of the capital’s most dynamic districts.

Led by tour guide Kelsey Betzelberger, this experience — featuring plenty of firsthand photo and video walkthroughs, intriguing anecdotes, and expert insights — will include:

  • Leake Street Tunnel — the ever-changing graffiti gallery beneath Waterloo Station where artists continuously layer vibrant murals over old creations, transforming the tunnel into one of London’s most colorful creative spaces
  • The South Bank cultural corridor — from the industrial architecture of Tate Modern, housed in a former power station, to nearby Southwark Cathedral, a Gothic church with nearly a thousand years of history and ties to William Shakespeare
  • Borough Market’s lively food scene — one of London’s oldest marketplaces, where centuries of trading tradition meet a vibrant collection of artisan producers and global street food vendors
  • Cruising the River Thames — gliding past historic bridges and modern landmarks aboard an Uber Boat while discovering how the river shaped London’s development, trade, and identity
  • London Eye views and royal Kensington — sweeping skyline vistas before venturing into the pastel streets of Notting Hill and the elegant grounds of Kensington Palace, once home to Princess Diana

Afterward, we'll have a Q&A with Kelsey — any and all questions are welcomed and encouraged!
