Dr. Ernst Roets is the Executive Director of the newly-established Afrikaner Foundation. He also serves as Head of Policy for the Solidarity Movement in South Africa. The Solidarity Movement is a network consisting of 50 institutions, representing more than 600, 000 families aimed at ensuring a free, safe and prosperous future for Afrikaner people at the southernmost tip of the African continent. The Afrikaner Foundation was established to serve as a vessel through which Afrikaners can contribute to the international dialogue with all interested parties in the preservation of culture and tradition. It also aims to serve as a platform through which the international community can contribute to the Afrikaner Foundation’s endeavors aimed at ensuring a future for the Afrikaner people.

Roets is an attorney with a particular interest in civil rights and cultural dynamics. He holds a Master’s Degree in Constitutional Law and a Doctorate in Legal Philosophy. His master’s thesis was about the extent to which minorities are protected by the South African Constitution, while the focus of his doctoral dissertation was on the Western conception of freedom.

Roets regularly appears in the South African and international media about issues relating to South African politics and the aspirations of Afrikaners. He has published articles in several international publications, and he regularly speaks at international conferences about South Africa, Afrikaners, and the preservation of Western tradition.
