Befriending the Inner Critic: From Judgment to Compassion Workshop

Details

This session is an invitation to pause and take a fresh look at your inner critic, that voice that says “you’re not enough,” “don’t mess this up,” or “you should be further along.” Instead of battling it, we’ll practice understanding it with compassion.

We’ll explore the role of the inner critic:
✨ Why the inner critic shows up and what it’s trying to protect
✨ The deeper fears and intentions behind its harsh voice
✨ How to shift from judgment to self-support and compassion

During this interactive workshop, you will:

  • Complete a guided reflection to uncover how your critic shows up in your life
  • Explore the protective role this part of you plays
  • Practice tools for responding with compassion rather than judgment
  • Share insights in a supportive, judgment-free group setting

Who this is for:
Anyone who struggles with self-criticism, perfectionism, or feeling like they’re never “enough” especially during times of change or transition.

About donations:
This group is run on a donation basis to keep it accessible to everyone. Please contribute what feels comfortable for you. Your support helps cover materials, space for live events, and keeps the community thriving.

About Me
Hi, I’m Julia, an ICF-certified life & leadership coach based in Newmarket. My mission is to help people move through life transitions and identity shifts.

How coaching is different from therapy: Coaching is future-focused and action-oriented. While therapy often works to heal past wounds, coaching is about partnering with you to explore where you are now, uncover your inner resources, and design the next chapter you want to create.
