Winter Bird Walk at Riverbend Park

Welcome to a winter bird walk with Nextgen Birders for Conservation, hosted by Luke High. We will embark upon a 2 hour walk through the park, which runs alongside the Potomac River and will hopefully be home to many waterfowl and the resident eagles in the area.

We do ask that you dress appropriately for the weather - which will likely be cold. We recommend bringing water and being mindful of the sun, as well. Please wear footwear appropriate for walking on uneven terrain.

We will meet shortly before 9AM outside of the visitor center, on the concrete patio area next to the awning. Please note that this is the visitor center located at 8700 Potomac Hills St, Great Falls, VA 22066. This event will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather, and an update will be posted to this page if that happens.

You will be prompted to say whether or not you need binoculars when you sign up for this event. We will take note of binocular requests and provide them as needed for the walk.
