NextGen Visit to the Bird House at Smithsonian's National Zoo
Details
Please read this description thoroughly, as it contains pertinent information on the logistics of meeting up.
Join NextGen as we take a trip to our National Zoo and visit the Bird House. We will congregate at the Bird House inside the Zoo at 9AM. We will take our time in the Bird House, observing as much as we can while discussing what we see and taking photos. Feel free to bring a camera!
Following the Bird House, there will be a few presentations on birds, hosted by the Zoo. They are as follows:
10:00 a.m. | Wild Bird Banding Demonstration (Saturdays; weather dependent)
11 a.m. | Keeper Chat: Turkeys (Saturdays and Sundays)
We will attend these as a group, and once done the event will have concluded. Please feel encouraged to explore the remainder of the Zoo once the event is over, either individually or in groups.
Important: please book an entry pass prior to our visit, using this link and choosing Saturday, December 6th as the date. The entry pass is free, but is required to enter the zoo. You will be able to contact a host of the event via Meetup/phone number if you need help.
