Details
Hey folks!
We're joining forces again with ReactiveDev and our up and coming ReactTLV community.
PLEASE FILL OUT THIS FORM BEFORE CLICKING THE ATTEND BUTTON.
Our host this time: Palo Alto Networks.
Agenda:
🎤 You may not need a form library with React v19
Remember the days of reaching for form libraries as our go-to solution? React v19 is about to shake things up! 🚀 We'll journey through React's form handling evolution - from controlled components to today's landscape dominated by React Hook Form and Formik. But here's the twist: React v19's new form hooks and actions might just make you rethink your dependencies. Through live coding and real-world examples, we'll explore how React v19's built-in features streamline state management and slash boilerplate compared to popular form libraries. We'll have an honest look at where these native solutions shine and where specialized libraries still bring unique value, helping you make informed decisions about your form handling strategy. 💫
👨💻 Yoav Ganbar, Sr. dev @ Jux, Qwik team, host of FedBites podcast & Partner @ ReactiveDev.
🎤 Why I built my own React styling library
Styling React components is tricky enough, but open source brings a whole new level of pain. In this talk, we'll dive into the messy world of styling open source React components using my own project, emoji-picker-react, as a case study. We'll explore the challenges of server-side rendering, battling with bundlers, and the eternal struggle to balance developer experience with end-user performance. I'll break down common styling approaches and why they often fall short in the open source world, ultimately leading to my decision to create (yet another!) CSS-in-JS library. Expect some real-world examples, a bit of live coding, and maybe even a little controversy. Come ready to share your own styling struggles and opinions!
👨💻 Evyatar Alush - Frontend Engineer @ Meta
Evyatar is passionate about open source development. He works on multiple open source projects, including the Vest Validations Framework, and volunteers as a mentor to support new engineers entering the open source community. Evyatar cares deeply about API design and improving the developer experience.
🎤 You're Not Off the Hook
If you thought React Hooks would easily optimize your renders – think again. In this talk, we’ll tell the lifecycle stories behind the hooks, shedding light on their quirks and edge cases, and helping you navigate the challenges that often catch us off guard.
🧑💻 Sagi Yosef, SWE Manager @ Palo Alto Networks
With over a decade of experience orchestrating full-stack solutions, Sagi Yosef knows his way around the *.js that matters. He’s passionate about building Microfrontend architectures that scale both horizontally and vertically - because why stop at one direction? React is his favorite game, and he plays to win (this also applies to any board game). Always up for a challenge (or a good JavaScript debate - optimization is his soft spot), he’s open to impactful collaborations that push boundaries.
👩💻 Nirit Segal, Javascripter @ Palo Alto Networks
Nirit claims to be saved by JavaScript from .NET hell. With over a decade of coding experience, her career began as a FullStack developer, yet she’s always been drawn to the adventures of Frontend Infrastructure. She favors the flavor of Vanilla and recently became a fan of typed JavaScript. Her latest obsession? Learning Chrome Extension architectures—one of the reasons she joined Palo Alto ;)
