Introduction to Canoeing
Details
The Canoe School, taught by volunteers, provides flat water and moving water instruction. Prior experience is not necessary. The school teaches you the skills and preparation to paddle lakes and rivers with some current. Students may attend for Solo or Tandem instruction. Some loaner canoes, paddles, and PFDs are available for the school. Ask the leader for details. The weather in April is unpredictable. It could be freezing, snowing, raining, or nice and mild. Dress accordingly and bring a change of clothes. Please bring a lunch, snacks, and water to drink. Pack all clothes and food in a dry bag or a waterproof bag. Cost is $100 for both days. There is the option to do only one day. PFDs are required and you will not be allowed to join if you don't wear a properly fitted PFD.
