Misinterpretation by Ledia Xhoga

Set in New York City, the story follows a nameless Albanian interpreter who reluctantly agrees to translate for Alfred, a Kosovar torture survivor, during his therapy sessions. Against her husband's advice, she becomes deeply entangled in her client's trauma, which stirs up her own buried memories and leads to risky decisions that threaten her marriage.
