Le Mont Chauve d'Aspremont depuis Nice Nord

This pleasant route, starting from Nice North, leads to Mont Chauve d'Aspremont via the GR® long-distance footpath through the hills of Nice. It offers panoramic views of the Nice metropolitan area and the sea, as well as the Var plain and the first peaks of the Mercantour National Park. The route is marked by the ruins of Château Renard, the Falicon Cave, and the Mont Chauve Fort. While some sections are very stony and slippery in wet weather, this route is accessible to most hikers.

Medium rated hike of 12 km with dénivelé 550m.

Bring suncream, hat, layers and grippy hiking boots. Poles recommended, picnic and at least 2l water.

We will start at 10:00 am sharp, so please allow enough time to arrive before then.
