(Almost) Full Harvest Moon Hike

Hello Moonlighters! Once again, the Harvest Moon is upon us! Since the full-full moon is rising on a Tuesday, I'm offering this hike to all the weekend warriors. We'll take a nice hike up in the gentle rays of the setting sun and come down under the moon beams.

We will be hiking the Temescal Canyon Trail. 3 miles / 833 ft elevation gain / rather steep descent

Parking: You can pay to park in the official lot (make sure to come to a full stop at the sign on the way in. They have a camera and make a lot of $ on people who roll through it). OR, you can park for free on Sunset or Temescal Canyon Road.

Dogs: Officially no dogs are allowed beyond a certain point on the trail, but some people bring them. I haven't heard of the rangers issuing a ticket in a while, but that doesn't mean they couldn't. At your own risk.

I recommend you bring:
*Clothes for changing conditions. (Currently it will be mid 60s when we end, but there could always be a breeze)
*Shoes with good grip (the downhill sections can be steep)
*Walking sticks if you need help with stability
*A liter or more of water
*A headlamp or a charged phone that has a flashlight on it

I'll be waiting by the restrooms and nature displays ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/mdx8FrUZZpQLm1CN7 ). At 6. At 6:10pm we'll start hiking up.
If you're a bit late, we are heading to the waterfall first and then up the ridge (doing the loop counter-clockwise).

As per tradition, when we get to the top, there will be a chance to circle up and share one good thing that happened during the last moon cycle and one thing you hope to achieve in the next (no pressure.. you can pass!).

**Photo and Video Release:**
