Night Photography in Tokyo is a community for anyone interested in taking great pictures and making new friends in Tokyo. From those just beginning with personal cameras to professionals in the industry, we get together to photograph amazing locations, talk travel, life, and share with one another about all things related to photography.
If you have ever been curious about photography, or are just interested in exploring Tokyo, feel free to join our community. Even if you're just passing through Japan!
Spring is a festive time to be in Tokyo, what better way to spend a free day than under dozens of blooming cherry blossom trees? By the 30th, cherry blossoms should be releasing and flying in the wind, makes for spectacular pictures, and if you're good with photographing people, it's a chance occassion to take great portraits.
I will bring large tarps as an event picnic spot, with many areas in Yoyogi to then set out & capture photography from. Bring your camera, food, drinks, and good spirits in celebration of the warm spring. It's a great opportunity to connect, talk photography, and enjoy the day.
Meetup time will be Saturday March 30th, 11:30am (11:30) at Yoyogi Park, next to the clock at the Harajuku Gate (Point on Google Maps : http://goo.gl/rm87So). The clock at Harajuku Gate looks like this : https://imgur.com/Edaivm4
Easiest way to reach the area is from Harajuku Station (JR Line) or Meijijingumae Station (Metro). If you are arriving later in the day, feel free to sign up and check back on this page for direct location of where tarps are set up.
See you there !
