Fort Lauderdale - Staghorn Fields and dropoff

Details

We'll be meeting in the evening, shooting for 7 PM, but no later than 7:30 PM. Getting into the water as soon as everyone is present and ready, but no later than 7:50 PM.

This is a long surface swim. It's about 30-35 minutes at an average pace. We'll swim out east until we get to the point where the sea floor has a vertical drop from around 20ft to 30 feet. We'll swim along the wall and we'll see various animals. I have never left here without seeing at least one octopus (but this is nature, it can happen).

Bring primary and secondary lights. If your air consumption isn't great, try to get a bigger tank. I would also recommend bringing your own dive flag if you think you may consume air faster. We'll be under water for about 90-120 minutes on a single tank.
