NixOS ZHF Hackathon + UX Workshop

It's time for a new NixOS release, 22.11 Raccoon! 🎉

For a month before release, NixOS is in ZERO Hydra Failures stage. During this time, the community tries to fix all of the Hydra build failures in Nixpkgs. You can read more about the process here.

Let's meet up to hack on Nixpkgs together! This event is aimed at all skill levels, so it is a great opportunity to learn Nix and how to become a contributor.

Additionally, we are hosting an open-source UX workshop as a separate track during the day. We have invited @fricklerhandwerk, @edolstra, and Elton Vecchietti, the Director of UX at Modus Create. The workshop is open to remote attendees via Jitsi: https://meet.jit.si/nix-ux-workshop-zurich

• 9:00 - Doors open
• 10:00 - Intro (Alex Drake)
• 10:15 - Lighting talk: ZHF Contribution Workflow (Silvan Mosberger)
• 10:20 - Lighting talk: Documentation team overview (Valentin Gagarin)
• 10:25 - Lighting talk: UX and Systemic Design - Integrating Open Source Culture (Elton Vecchietti)
• 12:00-15:00 - UX workshop (breakout room)
• 17:30 - Wrap-up (Alex Drake)

Food, drinks, coffee, tea, swag, and friendly mentors are all provided. All we need is some fun company. Bring as many friends as you can! 🙂
