Snowshoeing Adventure in Jim Thorpe, PA

If you like hiking and you enjoy being outdoors in the winter, you'll like snowshoeing. It's also excellent cross training for cyclists and is becoming almost as trendy as snow boarding. Except quite a bit cheaper, yay!

This is our first foray into showshoeing, so if you're a beginner, welcome to the club and if you're an expert, please come and show us how it's done! We'll be renting equipment from Blue Mountain Sports (https://www.bikejimthorpe.com/index.htm) in Jim Thorpe, PA. There are quite a few recommended trails in that area, so depending on weather and tips from the staff at BMS, we'll choose on the day of.

If you're interested in x-country skiing, BMS also rents those, so you can try that out as well. The rental price for snowshoes or x-country skis is $25/day (24 hr period). Reservations are recommended, so I'll send out an email closer to the date, and you'll be responsible for reserving your spot.

Lots of cute restaurants to choose from for lunch in Jim Thorpe (aka The Switzerland of the US) and the city also hosts a 2nd Saturday Art Walk in the evening, so if you want to make a day of it, bring a change of clothes and we'll have a blast. :)
