FREE Beach Day! (OCEAN GROVE)

This is the last weekend that the beaches are FREE!
Join us in Ocean Grove for a great day at the beach!!

Make new friends. Hang out. Lunch. Participate in beach activities ($).

A number of us will be coming to Point Pleasant the night before for the Teacher's Appreciation Night and staying over (find your own place):

GENERAL TIMELINE (suggested, activities are open):
10am: Welcome/Greetings. Find us on a spot on the Ocean Grove beach, north of the Ocean Path Park, close to Atlantic and Seaview Avenue. Quick intros / Opening prayer

1030-12 noon: Free time. Walks on the beach, Boogie boarding, beach volleyball (if anyone has a volleyball)

12-130pm : Break up into groups for lunch.
BYO or try any of these spots:
- The Crepe Shop, Mogo Taco, Playa Bowls on the Asbury Park boardwalk 15min walk north (find something and bring it back to the beach spot)
- Starving Artist at Days (popular, nearby brunch fare, small groups recommended as there can be a wait)
- Sea Grass (seafood, more upscale, sit-down but right in OG)

130pm - 230pm:
Bike rides along the boardwalk around the fountain of Wesley Lake or up to the Asbury Park Convention Hall (famous for the Rolling Stones/ Bruce Springsteen). Continue walk up to Bradley Cove (dog-friendly beach) or Loch Arbor Beach (tours of mansions).
Note: Bring your own bike or rent from Asbury Bike Rentals.

3pm-4pm (Optional) :
30min Swan Paddle Boat ride ($25 per boat, max 2 people). Owner takes cash. https://www.asburyparkpedalboats.com/

4pm-6pm: Free time.
Back on the beach to relax, nap, sunbathe, read a book, try for a dip.

6pm - 8pm: Farewell Dinner options:
- Tommy's Tavern in Sea Girt
- Johnny Macs in Asbury, which has free pizzas to go along with the beer
- Silverball Retro Arcade, pizza/hot dogs/pretzels at a 70s-inspired pinball arcade
