In this one-hour workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the Godot Engine and GDScript language through a live, interactive coding session.
Together, we’ll:
• Explore practical steps for turning sketches and notes into game mechanics
• Learn basic tools and workflows for getting visuals on screen
• Create a simple, responsive player character
• Break down what makes a satisfying game loop
• Experiment with enemy spawns to control challenge and pacing
• And more!
Whether you’ve never touched a game engine before or you’re looking to solidify the fundamentals, this session will give you the confidence and skills to start building your own games right away.
Doors open at 2pm, talk starts at 3, arrive early for networking and light refreshments.

Speaker Bio:
Logan Hajdukiewicz is a software developer who moonlights as an independent game developer.
He specializes in the Godot Engine and has extensive experience with the Renpy, Pygame, Gamemaker, Unity, and Unreal engines.
Having started as someone entirely self-taught, Logan believes that anyone—regardless of coding background—can successfully transition into game development.
