Workshop: Web Technologies for Live Streaming

Live streaming is an engaging entertainment medium which is not only visually exciting, but is also highly interactive with entertainers, known as "streamers", performing visual puppeteering and viewers, known as "chat", participating by typing in the chat window, redeeming awards, and more.

Sergey Chernyshev will talk about technology behind live streaming and specifically how you can build video layouts using HTML and CSS that render in the embedded Chromium browser used in Open Broadcaster Software (OBS Studio). And then he will deep-dive on how to use the full power of web technologies to create customizable and highly interactive multi-user experiences.
