NJ Code and Coffee: Saturday, November 14th, 2-5pm at EqualSpace ES550 Tech & Innovation Campus

Calling all New Jersey techies to the monthly NJ Code and Coffee meetup!
Coffee, good conversation, zero pressure.

Code and Coffee is an inclusive, informal networking session for people in tech and the tech-curious. Developers, data engineers, UX/UI designers, data scientists, product managers, solution architects, founders, operators, and investors are all welcome, at every skill and experience level, even first-timers and career-changers.

Most people come to chat, and some bring a laptop to work on a project. Either is welcome. It’s entirely up to you!

Come grab a coffee, meet new people, find collaborators, talk tech (or anything but tech), and take a break from the screen or the job hunt.

Agenda
2:00pm: Doors open, networking starts
2:30pm: Intro circle
3:00pm: Networking continues
3:00-4:00pm: Optional career workshop in a separate space (details/RSVP here: https://www.meetup.com/nj-code-coffee/events/317224995/)
5:00pm: Event ends
After 5pm: Hang out at a local brewery/restaurant (location TBD, we’ll announce it at the event)

The workshop is totally optional. Skip it and keep chatting if you’d prefer. If you do join, please plan to arrive on time and stay for the full hour.

The Intro Circle
Around 2:30pm, we’ll stand in a circle for a few organizer announcements, then go around the room. Keep it to 10 seconds or less, and share whichever of these apply to you:

  • Your name and your role, job title, or tech stack
  • What you can help others with
  • What you’d like help with
  • Whether you’re hiring, or looking for work.

Nervous about speaking up? A name and one sentence is plenty. After the circle, everything is self-organized.

Details

  • Cost: Free!
  • Coffee and light refreshments provided
