There are many things entrepreneurs may be unaware of when first starting off, whether you may have a new product, business, or technology. Our speakers will help get you familiarized with some of the current intellectual property laws and the impact pricing can have on your new venture.

Jon Muskin is a patent attorney who has been practicing for over fifteen years and works with many inventors and start-ups throughout the country. Mr. Muskin is also an entrepreneur himself who is a named inventor on over 25 issued patents. Mr. Muskin is a founding partner of Muskin & Cusick LLC, an intellectual property law firm located in the greater Philadelphia area.

Jon's talk: How to know if an idea is original, what to do with an idea, what does it cost to get a patent, what are the requirements for getting a patent, what steps can be taken before and after a patent application is filed, will a patent make you rich, is it a good idea to submit an idea to a crowd-sourcing web site, what about trademarks and copyrights, and many others.

Patrick Lefler is the founder of The Spruance Group; a pricing advisory firm that helps growing companies grow faster and dramatically increase profits through smarter pricing strategies and execution. He is a former Marine Corps officer, a graduate of both the U.S. Naval Academy and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and has held leadership positions at a number of different firms including Goldman Sachs, Citibank and Wall Street Systems. He is a member of InnovationNJ, a coalition of New Jersey’s leading businesses, trade associations and universities who share a commitment to fostering and encouraging innovation throughout the state. Patrick also serves as an advocate and mentor to returning veterans in conjunction with American Corporate Partners.
