🌊 Welcome to the Stroke Your Eco Meetup Group – Clean Water, Clean Planet! 🌿
Are you looking for a hands-on way to help the environment and connect with others who care about our planet? Join us as we roll up our sleeves and clean up local waterways — because what flows through our rivers, streams, and beaches ends up flowing through all of us.
This group is part of the movement behind StrokeYourEco.org, where we believe that environmental action should be accessible, community-driven, and even a little fun. Our mission is to reconnect people to the Earth through active, meaningful experiences — and waterway cleanups are one of the best ways to start.
Why Waterway Cleanups?
Polluted rivers, lakes, and beaches aren't just an eyesore — they’re a major threat to wildlife, ecosystems, and human health. Every bottle, bag, or scrap of plastic we remove is a step toward restoring the natural balance and protecting our planet’s most vital resource: water.
What We Do:
Host regular River and Lake Cleanups (Over 125 Cleanups to date) (We are in our 5th season)
All Supplies Provided (gloves, bags, grabbers)
Partner with local eco-orgs and municipalities
Create fun, social experiences with real-world impact
Track and share results to raise awareness (we take ton of pictures, so please let me know in advance if you would like to opt out of that. We do post pics on our Facebook page and website)
Who Should Join:
Anyone with a passion for nature, a concern for our waterways, or a willingness to get their hands a little dirty for a good cause. Whether you’re a solo volunteer, a family, or a group of friends, you’re welcome here.
Together, we can clean up our communities, educate others, and have a blast while doing it.

And of course, We always need Land Volunteers as well! :)
