January Meetup (#23) Google Glass 101: Applications and Experiences
Details
Wearable technology is increasing in popularity, as smart devices like Google Glass allow us to view the world in a whole new way. Analysts and journalists predict 2014 to be a huge year for wearable tech, and we want to give you a glimpse of what you can expect from both an application and user perspective.
Please join us on Tuesday, January 28th for a hands-on (or shall we say eyes-on) demo of Google Glass with Alex Zaltsman and Chris Ghanem of InnoviMobile (http://www.innovimobile.com/), Craig Caruso of CarusoApps (http://carusoapps.com/), and John Shammas, Director of UX at Meddle (http://get.meddle.it/). Our speakers will showcase Google Glass, and discuss use cases, implications and opportunities for GlassWare, the apps specifically designed for this platform. The speakers will also discuss their experience wearing Google Glass and we look forward to lively debate on the social, cultural, and privacy impact of these devices when used in public spaces, driving, and in other personal and professional environments.
We’re excited to kick off the new year by diving into this new technology, and we hope you’ll join us in learning about the future of Google Glass!
In addition to the main speaker panel, we would also like to open the floor to anyone working on projects that would like to share with the crowd prior to the start of our discussion. Please send us an email at allyson.pryor@springboardpr.com with a brief description of your pitch.
