D&D Movie Kickstarter- Final Push

From: user 3.

Hello All,

I've been following a kickstarter project about the history of Dungeons and Dragons, being made by some award winning film makers.  They are looking to raise money to buy archival footage and to finish the editing, and the film has seen articles in Forbes, Wired, and other notable magazines- mostly indicating how D&D has always been community driven.

Here's the link to the kickstarter:  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/andrewpascal/dungeons-and-dragons-a-documentary

But naturally, they are falling short of their goal.  They made me an offer for our gaming group a few weeks ago, and while I sent out an email describing it, I think I'd like to contribute a bit more.

If we (as a group) contribute at least $250, the Central NJ Gaming Group will be named in the thank you section of the credits, and we'll get to run a screening of the film at my house when it comes out in the Spring.  In addition to donating $50 myself, as D&D has done so much for me, I'm willing to find time in my busy schedule to help out the kickstarter.

To that end, let me make everyone this offer:  Donate at least $20 (and let me know about it), and I'll personally run a game of your choosing, most likely adapted from a 1e Module (using whatever system - 3e, 4e or D&D Next).  We'll do a 5 hour session when we can get the group together - and as some of our players will tell you, I'm decent at adapting the great storylines of 1st edition adventures to modern systems.

I hope everyone helps out, they are still short like 50k and only have 5 days left.  I don't understand how Paizo can raise millions on kickstarter but D&D projects get no love :(

I hope everyone is having a blast gaming~
