We will meet at 8:45 AM at the Lake Skannatati parking area for a prompt start. The route heads
north on the A–SB Trail, continuing onto the Red Cross Trail, Beech Trail, and the Long Path before returning to the parking lot. This is a vigorous hike and is described in Chapter 20 (Longer Hike) of Don Weise’s “Circuit Hikes in Harriman”. Severe inclement weather will cancel the hike. Participants must bring lunch and/or snacks, water or other beverages, proper outerwear, warm layers, waterproof boots, gaiters, traction devices (microspikes and/or snowshoes), and hiking poles.
