Arjan Gelderblom - First8 - Continuous Security

In today’s fast and 'continuous development' – cycle security is forced, but most of the time failing, to keep up with this pace. Security is almost all the time implemented as "hurdle" after releasing which needs to be taken before we can go to production. Being included after the fact means that you have to catch up on design and implementation before you can test for security related issues. By integrating security in the CI/CD pipeline and in our daily work flow it will be involved throughout the whole life cycle of the development of a feature and thus security can and will be involved from inception of a feature.

Bio: Arjan is a DevOps Engineer (Java) at First8, a company specializing in Java projects using open source. Outside of the office he spends most of his time with his wife and three year old son.

Lodewijk Bogaards - StackState - The 3 T's of Monitoring (telemetry, topology and time)

The three T's are a way to model the configuration of what is going on in any IT system; large or small, based on microservices, containers, web services, monoliths, serverless, cloud or on-premise. It does not matter. In fact, the word system may be used in a larger context to mean a system that could include: embedded devices, IoT, batch, real-time, offline or temporary components.
During this talk, Lodewijk Bogaards, walks you through the 3 ingredients of monitoring.

Bio: Lodewijk Bogaards is Co-founder and CTO at StackState. He has over 20 years of software development experience. He has been a DevOps evangelists and architect for 5 years. He was the lead software engineer and developer of a multi-purpose 3D simulation environment.
