→ Winny de Jong
Winny de Jong is data journalist at the Dutch national broadcast NOS. According to some she is a ‘workaholic’, and ’strategist’ who gives ‘EPIC presentations’. Winny usually speaks about the importance of data literacy, how to develop ideas, and her data journalistic workflow. She has presented before for organizations like TEDx, Brussels News Summit, and several journalism colleges in both Belgium and The Netherlands. Winny grew up in Rotterdam, but now lives in Amersfoort, The Netherlands. Visit her online at datajournalistiek.nl/en.

Mijke Slot is assistant professor of Media and Communication at the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication at Erasmus University Rotterdam. In addition to teaching courses about media technologies and audience engagement, she just started a new research project: ‘Do we click?’ in which she researches the digital relationship between Dutch journalists and their audience. She shares her research results in a podcast:
