Wat we doen
The Master Digital Design and the Media Architecture Biennale 2020 are thrilled to host Peter Dalsgaard for a meetup about digitally-augmented public spaces and knowledge-sharing.
How to design the library of the future, bringing together its functions as (digital) knowledge exchange and physical site for communities? In a recent redesign of the Public Library in Aarhus, Denmark, the Centre for Digital Creativity involved citizens and stakeholders in imagining the spaces and infrastructures that support and augment community building.
Peter Dalsgaard, the director of the Centre, will present examples and methodologies for activating citizens in the co-design of digitally augmented public spaces. How to transform a library from a repository of books, to a site where people can actively produce and exchange knowledge?
Peter Dalsgaard is Full Professor of Interaction Design and Director of the Centre for Digital Creativity at Aarhus University. His research examines the design and use of media architecture from a humanistic perspective. He has collaborated with architects and designers to examine the intersection of the physical and digital realms, and in addition to developing the theoretical foundation for media architecture, he has also took part in a series of media architectural projects.
