AI and Edge computing

Recent technological evolution ensures that the edge computing model becomes more and more viable. In this session, will focus on the relationship of AI and Edge computing an how this is evolving. We will start looking at what we mean by edge computing and how it overlaps with, but also differs from internet of things. An overview will be given of the various possibilities which we see for edge computing and how it can play a role in the advent of 5G.

Next to that, we will look at how IBM is using open source technology (https://github.com/open-horizon) to support edge computing. We will present an overview of the open horizon edge agent technology and look at the architecture of the solutions built with it.

To conclude we will discuss the current use cases we see for these solutions. Feel free to suggest your own for an open discussion.
