We welcome everyone; whether you’re painting as a hobby, seeking the therapeutic benefits of art, or aspiring to become an artist. Our sessions cater to those interested in one-time or long-term learning, where you can explore essential painting techniques at your own pace. We offer a relaxed, organic environment where you can learn from both your experiences and those of others, with guidance from experienced art teachers.

Our concept:
You’ll learn foundational techniques for drawing and painting, with lessons tailored to your level and interests step by step. Everyone receives individual tips and feedback, making our sessions suitable for absolute beginners and those with more experience.

What you can create:
Experiment with different styles, from abstract to representational art. Bring your own examples or photos to paint, or choose to reproduce and interpret works by other artists. Our sessions are for both beginners and advanced participants, offering a wide selection of creative possibilities. We have over than 50 art lessons at our studio!

Pricing:
One ticket costs €45, including VAT, with all materials, aprons, gloves, and refreshments (wine, tea, coffee, and bites) provided. Bring a fiend and receive €5 discount each! If you’d like to continue in long-term, we also offer various discounted class passes.

• The core principles of colour theory, including harmony and contrast
• How colour interacts with drawing skills to deepen your understanding of both disciplines
• Universal colour principles that apply across different painting mediums (we’ll use acrylics for their fast-drying qualities)

What is Art Studio Amsterdam?
We started our journey 6 years ago with atists and art educators who have long experience in art education field. We design unique courses to make learning easier for absolute beginners. Starting with easier assignments to challenge ones, we help attendees to create their own original voice as an artist in our beautiful art studio with other internationals & locals.

What makes painting with us unique:
Everyone is welcome—whether you wish to paint as a hobby and enjoy its therapeutic benefits, or you aim to become a professional artist by building your skills over time. We offer a free and organic learning space where you can grow through your own experiences, supported by the guidance of experienced art teachers with formal training and years of teaching expertise.

Our concept:
Each session is tailored to your level and interests. You will learn basic techniques in drawing and painting, with a particular focus in this 4-session course on mastering colour theory: mixing colours, understanding complementary palettes, creating depth and mood, and exploring personal expression through colour. Everyone receives individual tips and feedback, ensuring a personalised experience.

If you cannot make it to this course, there are always upcoming sessions scheduled that you can see on our main page. We will continue organising them on Thursday evenings throughout the year. It’s also possible to organise private in-group workshops and team activities at the studio or your place on your desired date & time.
