OWASP Frankfurt #55 In-Person Event: Cloud Secrets,Cyber-Crime & Threat Modeling

Hi folks, can't you keep a secret? For our OWASP Frankfurt 2022 summer edition, we are looking forward to welcome you to our second in-person event in Frankfurt!

_What's going to happen?
We are looking forward to welcome you for our OWASP Frankfurt Meetup kindly hosted by the Beehive Frankfurt Coworking space. This time, we are delighted to offer a range of exciting talks. We will discuss Cloud Secrets Management with OWASP, forensic analysis of malware and hunting for cyber criminals and a pragmatic approach to threat modelling.

_What are we going to talk about?

• _Talk 1 - Can't you keep a secret? Learn Secrets Management with OWASP WrongSecrets by Dan Gora, OWASP Frankfurt
  In this talk, Dan will dive into cloud secrets management best practices and show you all the things that can go terribly wrong with secrets management in the cloud through using OWASP WrongSecrets.
• _Talk 2 - Nicole Rother, will share some insights into her work as IT forensic investigator at a Federal Security Authority.
  Nicole will share a case study about a recent malware campaign by cyber criminals and how the international search for clues, the challenges in investigations and how collaboration & research led to the goal of catching the bad guys.
• _Talk 3 - A pragmatic approach to threat modelling with Jonas Becker, Senior Security Engineer at Certus Cybersecurity.
  In this talk, Jonas will give an introduction to Threat Modeling. Is it all just hype, or can it help? Starting with the question "why should I consider Threat Modeling", the "when", "who", and "how" will be answered. The talk will be concluded with common pitfalls regarding threat modeling (execution and organization) and some quality gates - what makes a good threat model?

_Afterwards? We will pre- and conclude the evening with the possibility to socialise at the Beehive Open House event with free food and drinks kindly provided by Certus Cybersecurity.

_When
This time our Meetup takes place on Monday (instead of Wednesday!) on 25.07.2022, 18:00h - 20.00h CEST (ca. 2 hours)

_Where?
Beehive will kindly host us as their Coworking Spaces at "The Spot", located in Mainzer Landstraße 33a in Frankfurt am Main. You can reach BEEHIVE Frankfurt within 5 walking minutes from the central station or the Willy-Brandt-Platz.
