// This month's topic: Trade-offs between Development and UX//
There is no denying the differentiating currents circulating in the tech industry when it comes to the topic of UX. In line with a greater theme “be like water” inspiring Capgemini’s public sector this year, Jessica Kotze is going to ride the water analogy and speak about the ocean of ideas and challenges across, design, development and delivery with a focus on points of conflict “the perfect storm” that we have all likely observed when it comes to UX and development. This session will consider industry challenges and the strategies we can explore to keeping the customer/user success ship sailing.
Designers and developers aren’t always on the same page. It can feel like a challenge to find common ground. User tests are a great way to connect and create a shared perspective. What does it bring and how can you make it work? Lisanne van der Palen will share her experiences having (and getting) developers on board (and some of their experience as well).
// Meet our host: Infi //
Infi is a software agency located in Utrecht, Amsterdam, and Nijmegen. Since 2003 we've been building custom web and mobile applications for customers like GVB, NLZIET, iChoosr, and many others; nowadays with a little over 40 developers. We love sharing knowledge, and we also much enjoy attending and hosting meetups and user groups!
// Meet our speakers //
Lisanne van der Palen is a natural empath who loves (most) humans, gets a high from cracking complexity and is a systems thinker. So she had no other choice than to become a UX-er. With a background in Sociology and Communication, she works at iChoosr, an international company specialised in human engagement (mostly in the form of group buying).
Jessica Kotze is a digital enterprise architect who cares to understand how businesses operate and is passionate about meaningful technical project delivery, solution design and people development.
