This Meetup is designed to get Expats together to participate in all the organized events in The Netherlands: 5k, 10k, 1/2 marathon, marathons, triathlons, cycling....
Maybe camping, kayaking, sea sports, hiking, to be discused when the group is more than just me :)
This summer is filled with events every week throughout The Netherlands...This Meetup will suggest a place for Expats to meet before and after an event.

From the entrance at the Zandvoortselaan we will do a beautiful varied hike through through the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, walking along canals and through forests and dunes. We will hopefully (most likely) encounter some deer.
The hike goes mainly over unhardened paths, and part of the paths might be small and not that visible. Adjust your footwear to this and to be sure I would recommend you to not wear short pants. For how to get there, entrance fee and other practical information, please read carefully through the practical stuff section below.
Practical stuff
- The hike starts and ends at the Zandvoortselaan entrance of the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen (Zandvoortselaan 130a,
2042 XC, Zandvoort), reachable by car or by public transport. - There is a parking lot at the entrance to park your car or you can come by public transport: the closest bus stop is 'Waterleiding/Nieuw Unicum, Zandvoort'. A bus from train station Heemstede-Aerdenhout stops there. Double-check your itinerary on Plan je reis met het OV en deelvervoer | 9292
- To enter the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen you need to pay an entrance fee/day ticket of EUR 1.50. Buy the day ticket online: Verkooppunten toegangskaarten voor de Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen. If you don't manage to buy the day ticket online, you can buy it at the machine at the entrance with your bank card.
- We collect at the entrance as of 10.15 and start hiking as of 10:30h. Please be on time, we will not be able to wait for you.

- Make sure that you bring enough lunch/snacks and water along with you.
- If it is very sunny/rainy, bring along sun/rain protection.
- Please only sign-up if you are really planning to come.
- Keep an eye on this event after sign-up. In case of bad weather I might need to cancel or move this event.
