The second edition of our meetup is packed with cutting-edge NLP research. In our first talk, Giancarlo Salton will be talking about how skip-thought vectors (http://arxiv.org/abs/1506.06726) can be used to predict idioms. Subsequently, we will have Derek Greene talk about how dynamic topic models (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_topic_model) can be created using matrix factorization algorithms. In our third talk of the evening, Piyush Arora will explore how to estimate the quality of new Stackoverflow questions using traditional search and doc2vec (https://cs.stanford.edu/~quocle/paragraph_vector.pdf) embeddings. You can find the full agenda below.
AGENDA:

IMPORTANT NOTES:
• If you can't make it, please RSVP to "NO" as soon as possible so that other people can take your place.
• If you are doing innovative research in NLP or are applying NLP to exciting applications and would like to give a talk, reach out to us! Similarly, if you are interested in sponsoring or hosting this event, please contact us.
