Rio Grande Trash Cleanup

Join us for a community river cleanup in the Las Cruces area! We’ll spend 1-2 hours walking up and down the dry riverbed of the Rio Grande and picking up trash. Cleaning up the riverbed before water is released from Caballo Dam will mitigate trash buildup downstream in the Spring and help protect our riparian habitats. Participants should bring layers, sun protection, and plenty of water. Wear closed toed shoes and long pants to protect from any potential sharps. All tools will be provided including trash bags, gloves, trash grabbers. Please RSVP below.
