Classes on SWING FOR LINDY-HOP Swing Dancers with NISSREEN !!
MONDAYS, APRIL 7, 14, 21, 28 FROM 7:30-9:30pm.
at MADISON COMMUNITY HOUSE 25 COOK AVENUE, MADISON, N.J. 07940
>All classes for April are geared towards dancers who are comfortable with basic 6 count triple steps and looking to push further. I will be focusing on improving dancers’ overall technique as well as teaching the designated steps.
>Also, based on the overall class ability, I might introduce more challenging steps at the end of some classes. The Monday classes are perfect for rusty intermediate dancers as well as pre-Intermediate and post beginners alike. Come all and bring a friend.
1st.CLASS: 8 Counts Playground:
This class will introduce the 8 ct rhythm as well as multiple, fun 8 count classic variations (not swing outs) to help build and clean up your dance vocabulary. Knowledge of the 6 count triple step is a must for this class.
2nd. CLASS: Frankie's Sixes and Variations:
This class will teach you a well known classic, dynamic and fun combination of six count steps. Eight count variations will also be taught if time allows. Knowledge of the 6 count triple step is a must.
3rd. CLASS: Shim Sham Shimmy:
This class will teach you classic solo jazz choreography. Some dance experience is needed for this class as well as the ability to pick up basic choreography. This is also suitable for those who know the Shim Sham and want to brush up on their knowledge.
4th. CLASS: Hand Shake Hold 6 & 8 ct Playground:
Hand shake hold (HSH) is a dynamic and fun hand hold from which many steps can be achieved. We will explore many six and 8 count HSHs and the best way to seamlessly combine them with your dancing.
ADMISSION: 1 Class is $20. All 4 classes are $70. Students get a $5 discount for each class. Cash or Venmo @SwingNJ (R. Cattan) (#6261)
