Iao Valley Adventure

Come join us on an Iao Valley adventure.
1st we'll take a trail that will take us around the back side of the famed Iao Needle. This will be ~3 miles and take less than 2 hours. While not a beginner trail, if you are in relatively good shape, have good balance, and the ability to scramble up a few sections, you'll be fine.
2nd I will be exploring a more challenging trail that will involve rocky loose terrain, climbing up and over boulders, and trapesing through some water as we explore some of the beauty of this incredible valley.
the second section a shorter, but much more technical and challenging.

Note that this is not a beginner hike. if you have trouble with balance, trouble bouldering and climbing requiring leg strength and upper body strength, trouble walking on slippery wet rocks, this might not be the adventure for you.

Where to meet
Let's meet inside the park at the lower lot against the fence looking down on the stream next to the bus parking.
Note If you are not a resident with an ID, you cannot enter the park without first making a $5 reservation. Please message me ahead of time if you fall into this category.

What to Bring
shoes with good grip that can get dirty/wet.
clothes that can get dirty/wet
some water, optional snack
mandatory Aloha spirit!
