What we're about

Public Group

This meetup group has a triple focus:

[1] To enable local expatriates/foreigners/immigrants/etc. to connect, meet face-to-face, socialize regardless of nationalities;

[2] To be inclusive of Americans who have lived abroad or simply have a passion for international travel and world cultures -- and thus allow both populations to interact for the sheer fun of it;

[3] To be a responsible forum for global issues such as poverty and economic cooperation, geopolitics, cultural exchange and understanding, climate change, globalization, etc.

Thus we meet to socialize informally or with an educational/organizational purpose. (Please note that some meetups might be for expats/foreigners only.) We view foreign films, listen to international music, sample ethnic food, hold discussions, etc.

We might have differences of opinions at times, especially when it comes to politics but we can function in an atmosphere of tolerance, mutual respect, and balance. As the title for group Members states it, we are ...World Citizens.
